I picked Laswell’s CD up a couple of months ago, and you are right on the money. This is just good stuff, soothing, interesting, subtle. Seems like a good choice for you on a tense night.

Oh, by the way, we went to the Doheny Blues Festival last weekend, and heard the most amazing singer, I think you’d like her even if you don’t love the blues. Her name is Ruthie Foster. I won’t put in any links, but a search on YouTube found several videos. Another amazing voice that doesn’t need a lot of production value.
